Women Trans Femme Non-binary Night

Women/Trans/Femme (W/T/F) Tuesday

Tuesdays 6-8 pm

This program dedicates space to women, trans, femme and gender non-conforming folks to learn in a shop setting where everyone feels welcome and comfortable. We gather to fix our bikes, talk about bikes, and spend time eating Shop Soup. Please join us!

Pending group availability, W/T/F also hosts a group gravel ride. If you are interested in leading or sweeping, let us know at the shop next Tuesday!

W/T/F Bike-packing

Overnight Bike-packing to Kent Park in partnership with Kristen Morrow at the Johnson County Conservation Board



Past events:
April 13, 2024: Ephemeral Wildflower Tour 
Strap on the panniers! It's a bike-packing day trip. Bring lunch and drinks, hiking shoes, bike lock, flat kit, blanket or chair, & weather appropriate clothes. There are no amenities along the route or at the park. Pack it in and pack it out.
Meet at the Bike Library at 10 AM, rain or shine. We will eat lunch at Cangleska Wakan before a 12:30 PM-2 PM hike guided by a Bur Oak Land Trust naturalist who will show case the beautiful, short lived, forest flowers of Spring.

June 1-2, 2024: W/T/F Overnight Bike Tour
The Iowa City Bike Library and Bur Oak Land Trust are teaming up to bring you another fun W/T/F Bike Touring Adventure. Meet at 2:45 PM at the Bike Library to bike to the Bur Oak Land Trust Belgum Grove. Then, a Bur Oak naturalist will lead a short hike followed by a campfire and plenty of conversation. 

MAIN ROUTE: 11.8 miles of pavement, gravel, and B roads, lead and swept by volunteers (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46247691)

ALTERNATE ROUTE: 14.3 miles, paved and self-supported (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46248152)
